A Perfect Day at The Fig House, Middleton Lodge with an Outdoor Ceremony, Sunshine and Marshmallows

Some weddings just land perfectly, and this one at The Fig House at Middleton Lodge definitely did. The weather showed up, the gardens were looking unreal and the whole place had that calm, warm atmosphere that makes photographing a wedding feel effortless.

The Fig House garden is always beautiful, but on this day it was something else. The colours, the light, the whole setting just felt like it had been waiting for this exact wedding. The outdoor ceremony could not have been better. The sun was shining, there was a lovely breeze and everyone looked so relaxed sitting among the flowers. It was one of those ceremonies where you can feel how happy everyone is just to be there.

Afterwards we wandered through the gardens for some portraits and honestly, you could point the camera in any direction and get something beautiful. It was all so natural too, nothing staged, just the two of them being themselves in a place that suits that relaxed style perfectly. They didn't want to spend much time I think we had less than 10 minutes together, and back they went to be surrounded by their family and friends. (im not one take take couples away for an hour plus for their wedding photos)

A proper highlight of the day was the champagne tower. These are always fun but this one was next level. Everyone gathered round, lots of cheering, lots of laughs and it looked amazing with the Fig House gardens in the background.

As the night settled in and things got a bit cooler, the fire pits were lit and marshmallows came out, which is such a simple thing but it created the nicest atmosphere. Guests chatting, laughing, toasting marshmallows and enjoying that warm glow under the evening sky. It was the perfect way to close out a day that already felt pretty perfect.

I love it here at Middleton Lodge it always delivers but this wedding had that extra bit of magic. Sunshine, an outdoor ceremony, a champagne tower and fire pits at night… I could happily photograph this day again and again.

A genuinely lovely one to be part of.
