Newcastle Wedding Photographer
Newcastle WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER, Nick Georgiou
Relaxed, documentary wedding photography for Newcastle couples. I'm Nick, a North East photographer based in Stockton on Tees, with over 250 weddings and more than 10 years behind me. I've photographed everything from Wylam Brewery and the Biscuit Factory to Jesmond Dene House and the views at Secret Tower. My best advice when choosing a photographer? Meet them first, in person or on a video call. We'll be spending your whole day together, so it matters that we get on.

Me The Wedding Photographer
I'm Nick Georgiou, a wedding photographer based in the North East, I cover all of Newcastle and the surrounding areas. If you need to know more about me then head over to my "about" page. But in a nutshell, I am a local photographer who is a family man, I love what I do and I am pretty good at it, well so I am told! My style of photography is a relaxed, fun and beautiful approach, I love my documentary style approach to capturing candid photos at a wedding, so go have fun with your family and friends and I will capture it. I do help with your portrait photos I would say I guide you more than pose you, which is a much more relaxed way. I am happy to also do your family photos if you like, but that's up to you, as I know some don't want this, others may want a couple some may like many more.

Wedding In Newcastle
Newcastle is a brilliant city to get married in. You've got the Tyne Bridge and the Quayside, the Castle Keep, the grand buildings on Grey Street and green spaces like Jesmond Dene, all close together. If you want something different, there are breweries, galleries and warehouse spaces that make amazing backdrops.
Knowing the city helps: I know where to go when it rains, and how to fit in a few photos around town without eating into your drinks reception.
Planning your Newcastle wedding photos
City photos. The Quayside, Grey Street and the Castle Keep are all close together, so a short wander for photos is easy. If your venue is out of town, Jesmond Dene or the coast at Tynemouth make great alternatives.
Getting around. City weddings often mean travelling between the ceremony and the reception. Send me your timings and I'll plan where I need to be, so I don't miss the arrivals.
The best light. In summer the golden light comes late, so I'll aim to grab you for ten minutes after the speeches. In winter it comes earlier, so we'll plan your couple photos around the ceremony.
Rainy days. Newcastle has plenty of covered spots, from arches and doorways to venues full of character inside, so a wet day is far from the end of the world.
What couples say
“Nick was so above and beyond on the day, we could never have imagined how good the photos were going to be.”
Andy Donnelly
“Nick was our wedding photographer and we couldn’t have been happier with his professionalism. He made everything effortless for us.”
Lynsey Finlay

I offer more than taking just your photos and editing them! If you are looking for a keepsake how about a beautiful oak USB box, beautifully framed photos, or how about a lovely photo album.

Do you have a back up?

Most couples book 12 to 24 months ahead, and I take bookings up to 2 years in advance.
Can we have photos around Newcastle city centre?
Yes. The Quayside, the Tyne Bridge and Grey Street all make great backdrops, and I'll help you plan the timing on the day.
