They Did It!
I am a local wedding photographer who had the best day with this amazing County Durham wedding at Dalton Old Pump House, in the beautiful Seaside town of Seaham.
Before the wedding
Sarah and Shaun (or should I say Sarah!) planned their wedding in just 6 weeks. They knew of me as I photographed Shaun’s brother's wedding at South Causey Inn on New Year's Eve in 2019.
I was so pleased to say I was available, especially after meeting them and most of the family at his brother's wedding. The cherry on the top was that they chose a wedding venue that I hadn't photographed yet and to be honest not many had as it is a new venue. At the point I photographed their wedding I believe they had only hosted a couple of weddings there- so that is how new it was!
Dalton Old Pump House Wedding Venue
What can I say about the Dalton Old Pump House other than WOW! I love it here and I can't wait to come back! I arrived early to get to know where everything is and have some ideas of some shots that I could do and I had loads. I was lucky enough to get a great tour around and was told some of the plans moving forward and wow it is going to be amazing here. So many wedding venues are stunning because of the grounds, but Dalton Old Pump House has it all! The inside is just as beautiful as the outside so don't worry if the good old British weather plays its part!
I am going to say watch out for Dalton Old Pump House as this will be one popular venue!
The Wedding Day!
The day started at Sunderland for me at St Leonard’s Church Tunstall Village. Sarah & Shaun didn't want any prep photos so I started 30 minutes before the ceremony, capturing everyone arriving. They all looked great especially the boys and a big shout out to their little boy James who let's be honest looked the best!
What can I say but what a beautiful ceremony!
When Sarah arrived I got to capture some of her and her bridesmaids looking out of this world before they got married. The whole ceremony was just perfect as all wedding ceremonies are and all for different reasons. Their story, Church, The Reception, Venue, and family especially when you have your own child watching on as their parents say their I Do's!
