Perched on the edge of the Yorkshire moors, Crathorne Hall commands incredible views over the Leven Valley – a spectacular backdrop for your wedding day. Crathorne Hall was built for celebrating, so why not take the whole venue for you and your guests to enjoy? It’s guaranteed to be a house party like no other.
How We Met
I was asked to photograph a birthday party at Crathorne Hall for a wedding supplier First Class Weddings Co. back in 2019 who can I add is amazing!
This is where I first met Rob & Emma, it was shortly after that party they got in touch to ask about their wedding date which was great to say yes to, and the fact it was at Crathorne Hall again was a little bonus as I love coming back at Crathorne.
A lot had happened from the day we met they had a beautiful boy "Alf" who I met when I did his newborn photos than a year later I did his christening and now round it up with their beautiful wedding.
The Wedding
The day started and finished at Crathorne Hall, yes from the bridal preparations to the ceremony and the reception all at the stunning wedding venue of, did I mention it Crathorne!
It was a very relaxed bridal preparation for Emma, just close family Alf was with her too a very handsome pageboy!
It was lovely and very relaxing throughout even with the champagne erupting like a volcano after just unwinding the wire clasp, which caught everyone by surprise!
Rob was getting ready at home and I met him and the boys later on surprise they were at the bar, having a great time and hoping to settle the nerves a bit.
The Ceremony
Alf decided he didn't want to walk down so Rob went to join him and lifted him and they came down together which is one of my many stands out pictures from the day, real moments that they will remember. Following them down the aisle was their little flower girl that decided to stop at her mum's side and stay before Rachel the next bridesmaid, came and took her by the hand to go the rest of the way. The ceremony was just perfect, Alf had another part to play and that was helping with the rings, another aww moment.
The Reception
We had a short time for the photos because it was all about celebrating their wedding with their friends and family which I absolutely get, and they still have beautiful portrait images in the 20 minutes that we did do.
Speeches came next which were hilarious, and then onto the night, the dance floor, it was so much fun and very lively the dance floor was where it was happening and we even had props like cowboy hats, blow-up unicorns.

Q: DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE?
Yes, I have business insurance which includes public liability.
Q: WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU HAVE/USE?
I have just about 2 of everything just in case, A Canon R6 Mii, Canon 5D IV (DSLR, full-frame sensor x3), off-camera flashes x3, and an endless amount of batteries to keep me going a full day, light stands and the list does go on but those are the most important ones.
Q: HOW MANY PHOTOS CAN I EXPECT?
This, depends on a few factors, first of all, how many hours you would like me to cover for your wedding and also how many guests and details do you have? For 6-hour coverage, you can expect 300-600 photos, for 7-hour coverage 400-700 and for 10 hours 600-1000
Q: WHEN AND HOW DO WE BOOK?
As soon as you have the date for your wedding to avoid losing out to someone else, you should think about booking me sooner rather than later, to make sure your date is available. Once you pay your deposit (£300) the date is yours. I sometimes get booked up to 2 years in advance. Your deposit also secures the current prices which may increase later.
Q: CAN WE MEET UP BEFORE WE BOOK?
I always like to meet all couples, I think it's important too. Where? I have a lovely little office attached to a cool little Restaurant Bar, so coffee and treats are on me. If you prefer a Video call that's okay too!

Q: IS IT JUST YOU?
Yes, but if you would like another photographer too I work closely with other professional wedding photographers that would be happy to do this, this can be arranged as an additional option.
Q: DO WE NEED/GET A CONTRACT?
Yes this is very important for both you and I, this is to reassure you exactly what you can expect from me and as all weddings are different they need to be made specifically for you.
Q: HOW LONG TILL WE HAVE OUR PHOTOGRAPH'S?
You will receive a sneak peek within 72 hours of your wedding day. All photos are ready between 3-5 weeks (out of peek wedding season) after your wedding you will receive a link to your password-protected online wedding gallery. It can take 4-8 weeks during the busy season. I do offer an express service which means your images will be ready within 5 days of your wedding (subject to availability) see my wedding packages for more details.
Q: WHO / HOW DOES THE ALBUM PROCESS WORK?
I will personally design the album layout to ensure it tells the story of your day the way it unfolded. I would then send you a copy and this would be your opportunity to make any alterations to the choice of picture or layout. Once you are happy with the design production takes 2-4 weeks.
