Christmas Wedding At Crathorne Hall

Crathorne Hall

Crathorne Hall is a country house located in Crathorne, North Yorkshire, England. It is situated in the picturesque countryside near the River Leven. The hall is a Grade II* listed building and has a rich history dating back to the 19th century.

Originally built in 1906, Crathorne Hall was designed by architect Sir Edward Guy Dawber in the Edwardian style. The hall was constructed for the Dugdale family, who were prominent landowners in the area. It served as their private residence until it was sold in the mid-20th century.

During World War II, Crathorne Hall was used as a military hospital for wounded soldiers. After the war, it was converted into a hotel, and since then, it has become a popular destination for visitors seeking a tranquil retreat or hosting special events such as weddings and conferences.

Crathorne Hall boasts beautiful architecture, including a grand entrance hall, elegant reception rooms, and luxurious guest accommodations. The surrounding estate features stunning gardens, landscaped grounds, and expansive views of the North Yorkshire countryside.

The hall has undergone several renovations and expansions over the years to enhance its facilities and maintain its historic charm. It offers modern amenities and facilities while preserving its original character.

Crathorne Hall is well-known for its high-quality hospitality and excellent service. Guests can enjoy fine dining in the hotel's restaurant, relax in the comfortable lounges, or explore the nearby attractions and activities, such as the North York Moors National Park or the historic town of Yarm.

Whether visiting for a leisurely getaway, a special occasion, or a corporate event, Crathorne Hall provides a luxurious and memorable experience in a picturesque setting.

North Yorkshire Wedding

This North Yorkshire wedding was at Crathorne Hall and started 30 minutes before the ceremony, Natalie and Louis didn't want the preparation part of the wedding included, just the ceremony to the first dance. What a beautiful Ceremony it was too, I know Crathorne very well, so I was very comfortable here, it is such a lovely place to come back to from the staff to location and just the beautiful building with the grounds to match I love it here.

This is a beautiful place no matter the time of year but at Christmas, it just felt more special even though there was no snow, I'm sure one wedding I will do will have snow but today it wasn't going to be.

The Ceremony

The room looked stunning First Class Wedding Co did an amazing job as usual and of course, Crathorne had a beautiful Christmas tree which just finished the room.

Louis was looking away from the back of the room when the doors opened and the beautiful Natalie appeared with her dad and proud dad too.

It was a lovely ceremony, start to finish walking back down the aisle as man and wife there was mistletoe in the doorway as if these 2 needed any reason to stop and kiss but it made for a great photo or two ok maybe three but it was so good.

The First Dance

Originally Natalie and Louis didn't want the first dance to be covered and a few months before the big day they changed their mind, as they decided to take dance lessons and wow they did a stunning first dance.

I loved every minute of their special day and congratulations once again to the newlyweds Mr & Mrs Cunningham.

If you haven’t seen much of my work yet I would describe my style as a documentary wedding photographer, I want my photos to take you back to that moment and that time and remind you how your beautiful day unfolded (as if you would forget).

I am very proud to say that I am one of Crathorne Hall's recommended wedding suppliers and this means I am here more and more every year, so I would like to first say a big thank you to them, for continuing to recommend me. Every year I find that another venue or two are recommending me as their wedding supplier so if you would like to know more about why then please get in touch I would love to hear from you and talk all about how I can help you!

If you would like to know what others have to say about me then why not take a look at some of the many lovely reviews on Facebook and Google, here are a few of many I have transferred to my website if this helps.
