The Fig House
I was last here at Middleton Lodge a year ago for a summer wedding it is one of my favourite wedding venues in Yorkshire that is local to me and that is the estate and the Fig House too! Beautiful, 200 acres of rural North Yorkshire, this is a stunning, and award-winning wedding venue. The Fig House with its beautiful Georgian windows and doors is flooded with light and has been so tastefully brought back to life with its exposed plaster and brickwork.
The Wedding
The day started at the Fig House with Belen's bridal prep and Dec arrived already suited and ready to go!
The ceremony was small and intermate with their closest friends and family with some family members travelling from as far as Spain.
While family portraits were being taken, the weather had gone from dry to wet and now it started to SNOW yes March 30th and it was snowing, we even had a lovely sunset so we had all types of weather well apart from a rainbow!
I don't take couples away from their guest for too long but I always have a great laugh doing them with couples and it was no different for Dec & Belen!
The speeches had a bit of everything but more of the laughter with 2 great best-man speeches, and now I feel like I know Dec so much more.
Now time for the PARTY and was it a great one I love it when everyone is up for a dance and they were after the DJ played the First Dance song we had live music which got everyone up and dancing!
Thank you so much to Belen & Declan for choosing to be their photographer to allow me to capture and document the day in my style of photography. I had so much fun, and I am sure you two did too!
I wanted to say a thank you again to the friendly, organised and amazing staff at the Fig House you did an amazing job I can't wait to come back later this year for my next wedding in June!

Q: HOW MANY PHOTOS CAN I EXPECT?
This, depends on a few factors, first of all, how many hours you would like me to cover for your wedding and also how many guests and details do you have? For 6-hour coverage, you can expect 300-600 photos, for 7-hour coverage 400-700 and for 10 hours 600-1000
Q: WHEN AND HOW DO WE BOOK?
As soon as you have the date for your wedding to avoid losing out to someone else, you should think about booking me sooner rather than later, to make sure your date is available. Once you pay your deposit (£300) the date is yours. I sometimes get booked up to 2 years in advance. Your deposit also secures the current prices which may increase later.
Q: CAN WE MEET UP BEFORE WE BOOK?
I always like to meet all couples, I think it's important too. Where? I have a lovely little office attached to a cool little Restaurant Bar, so coffee and treats are on me. If you prefer a Video call that's okay too!

Q: IS IT JUST YOU?
Yes, but if you would like another photographer too I work closely with other professional wedding photographers that would be happy to do this, this can be arranged as an additional option.
Q: DO WE NEED/GET A CONTRACT?
Yes, this is very important for both you and me, this is to reassure you exactly what you can expect from me and as all weddings are different they need to be made specifically for you.
