Hi, this page is all about when I was the wedding photographer at Fig House, Middleton lodge for the stunning couple James & Amy, in beautiful North Yorkshire.

I am a local photographer and I work throughout North Yorkshire, I often travel much further too. I have shot weddings at the Middleton Lodge many times before and I always love coming back. Why the Fig House at Middleton Lodge

Set in the North Yorkshire countryside, Middleton Lodge has two individual wedding venues located on its grounds. Choose from the 18th-century Main House, full of its original Georgian grandeur or just a five-minute walk away is the wonderfully romantic Fig House, with views across the restored Walled Garden.

The Fig House

A beautifully restored wedding venue, with floor-to-ceiling views across the two-acre Walled Garden, designed by Tom Stuart-Smith.

Your ceremony will be held in The Boiler House Bar, just through the stone archways of the Fig House, or during the warmer months on the terrace and lawn in the Walled Garden.

Your wedding feast will be served in the Fig House. In the evening, guests can spill out onto the terrace and explore the beautiful gardens.

I asked James & Amy why the Fig House and they said...

"We viewed about 5 venues and what made us make our mind up about the venue we chose and fell in love with was not only the contemporary feel and stunning walled gardens but the fact that our guests have no choice but to mingle. By that, we mean that nobody can sneak off or groups can break away into many small rooms. We felt the two generous but not huge rooms had a perfect atmosphere and blend of space and intimacy. Plus the place alone is just beautiful."

I loved coming back to the Fig House and 2 amazing people like James & Amy made it even better. We were blessed with the weather in more ways than one and it finished off all with the amazing sunset too. 

Middleton Lodge

Middleton Lodge is a Georgian Palladian mansion set within 200 acres, near the village is Middleton Tyas, a few minute drive away from A1 near Scotch Corner.

Middleton Lodge was designed by the architect John Carr and was built between 1777-1780

Middleton Lodge is still a family home to the Allison family who has lived there since 1980, however, it is now also available for exclusive hire for private wedding receptions and functions.
