Steven & Hilary’s Fun & Relaxed Wedding at Bowburn Hall, Durham
Steven & Hilary’s wedding at Bowburn Hall was one of those brilliant days where everyone just seemed to be smiling from start to finish. No stress, no fuss — just a laid-back celebration filled with love, laughter, and a whole bunch of happy people having the best time.
What can I say, Bowburn Hall is such a lovely spot for a wedding — tucked away in Durham with loads of charm, gorgeous gardens, and the kind of relaxed atmosphere that makes everyone feel right at home. Which is exactly what Steven & Hilary wanted. A day that felt like them.
A ceremony full of smiles (and a few happy tears)
The ceremony was a beauty — Outside ceremony with the bright sun, filled with emotion, real moments, and those little glances that say everything. You could see how much these two adore each other, and their guests were so there for it. Laughter bubbled up, tissues came out, and when the confetti flew afterwards, it felt like pure celebration.
Garden strolls & chilled-out portraits
After the ceremony, we headed into the gardens for some relaxed portraits — nothing too posed, just Steven & Hilary being themselves, soaking up the moment and enjoying a bit of quiet together. That’s my favourite kind of portrait session — no awkward stuff, just natural connection and real smiles.
Bowburn Hall’s grounds were looking lush, and the light was playing ball too (thanks, Durham!). Add two people totally in love and you’ve got magic.
Good food, good people, great speeches
Back inside, it was time for the kind of food that gets people properly excited — and some brilliant speeches. The perfect mix of hilarious and heartfelt, you could feel the love in the room, and everyone was clearly just buzzing to be there for these two.
