Georgia and Mollie at Yorkshire Wedding Barn
Georgia and Mollie’s winter wedding at Yorkshire Wedding Barn was one of those days that felt easy from the very start and then somehow turned into a full on party before anyone quite realised what had happened.
They are one of those couples who manage to be both organised and completely laid back at the same time. Everything had been thought through, but nothing felt forced or over planned. Most importantly, they are so clearly into each other, which makes photographing a day like this an absolute dream.
Getting Ready Together
As a same sex couple, Georgia and Mollie decided to get ready together, which instantly set the tone for the day. No rushing between rooms or trying to avoid seeing each other. Just the two of them, calm, excited, and ready extra early with plenty of time to enjoy it all.
Getting ready together also meant more natural moments, more laughter, and a really lovely sense of togetherness before the ceremony. It felt intimate and relaxed, and it worked beautifully.
A Personal Ceremony
One of the standout parts of the day was the ceremony itself. It was led by a close friend, which made it incredibly personal and meaningful. There were laughs, a few emotional moments, and that feeling in the room that everyone was properly present and invested in what was happening.
Yorkshire Wedding Barn is such a great space for ceremonies like this. Warm, welcoming, and full of light, even on a winter day.
Winter Light and Outdoor Photos
Although it was winter, the weather was dry with just a bit of a chill in the air. We still managed to head outside for family photos and portraits, making the most of the crisp light and the beautiful surroundings. Everyone leaned into it, which always helps.
After that, we moved back inside for the rest of the portraits and group photos, keeping things comfortable and relaxed without losing any of the atmosphere.
From Relaxed to Full Party
The day started off calm and easy going, but once the formal bits were done, the vibe shifted very quickly into party mode. Drinks were flowing, the dance floor filled up fast, and the energy stayed high right through the evening.
Georgia and Mollie’s friends and family brought so much life to the day, and it felt like one big celebration rather than a structured wedding timetable.
A Perfect Yorkshire Wedding Barn Day
This wedding was a great example of how Yorkshire Wedding Barn works brilliantly in every season. A winter wedding does not mean compromising on atmosphere or light. With the right couple and the right energy, it can feel just as warm and lively as a summer celebration.
Georgia and Mollie, thank you for trusting me to capture such a fun, personal, and genuinely lovely day. It was a pleasure from start to finish.
