A Rainy Wedding Day at Wharfedale Grange with Alex & Rachel

Rain on your wedding day isn’t always what you dream of – but honestly, Alex and Rachel’s wedding at Wharfedale Grange in Yorkshire proved that a bit of drizzle can make the day even more magical. This gorgeous barn venue has so much character, and with its mix of rustic charm and modern style, it’s the perfect place for a wedding no matter what the weather does.

Morning Prep and Excitement

The morning started with a buzz of excitement as Rachel got ready with her bridesmaids in Wharfedale Grange’s stunning bridal suite. There was plenty of laughter, Prosecco flowing, and a few happy nerves – but most importantly, the vibe was relaxed and fun. Alex had arrived with his groomsmen, all in high spirits despite the grey skies outside.

The Ceremony

The ceremony itself was full of emotion – one of those where you can feel how much love is in the room. Wharfedale Grange’s ceremony space, with its fairy lights and huge beams, is such a dramatic setting and makes for a really intimate atmosphere. The rain outside didn’t matter one bit.

The Reception at Wharfedale Grange

Afterwards, everyone gathered in the main barn for food, drinks, and some brilliant speeches. Wharfedale Grange is such a versatile space – those huge chandeliers, the long wooden tables, and all the little rustic touches make it feel so warm and welcoming. The dancefloor later on was absolutely packed, with everyone forgetting about the weather and just celebrating. I was spoilt on photos options indoors as Alex & Rachel wanted to stay dry and wasn't looking for the umbrella shot so I gott creative and mixed with a few bar shots I had loads for them.
