Caoimhe & Hayden’s Laid-Back Thirsk Lodge Barns Wedding – With Baby Eira Along for the Ride

Caoimhe & Hayden’s Laid-Back Wedding at Thirsk Lodge Barns

Well what can I say, Thirsk Lodge Barns is such a brilliant North Yorkshire wedding venue – and it suited Caoimhe and Hayden down to the ground. Their wedding was chilled, fun, full of character, and made even more special by the presence of their beautiful baby girl, Eira.

A Relaxed Morning with Baby Eira Stealing the Show

The day started quietly, with laughter echoing through the prep rooms and little Eira keeping everyone smiling. No rush, no drama – just the perfect pace to ease into a day they’d clearly thought about, but hadn’t overcomplicated. These are always my favourite weddings to photograph – real, honest, and filled with natural moments.

An Emotion-Filled Ceremony in the Barn

The ceremony itself was beautiful – simple, heartfelt, and with the kind of relaxed atmosphere that let everyone just be. Caoimhe and Hayden clearly only had eyes for each other, and the way they smiled through the whole thing was so infectious. Eira even made a little appearance, just to remind everyone who the real star of the show was.

Drinks, Laughs

After the confetti and hugs, guests spilled out onto the lawn for drinks and chatter while we grabbed a few relaxed couple portraits. No awkward posing – just a bit of a wander in the soft evening light, soaking up that quiet moment together before the party kicked off.

Speeches, Dancing and a Proper Good Party

The speeches were spot on – funny, emotional, and full of warmth. As the evening rolled in, the barn was glowing and the dance floor started to fill. It was the kind of dance floor I love – messy, happy, and full of life.

Why Thirsk Lodge Barns is the Perfect Laid-Back Wedding Venue

With its rustic barns, beautiful courtyard, and plenty of room for guests to spread out and relax, Thirsk Lodge Barns is ideal for couples who want a wedding that feels fun but still has a touch of elegance. It’s well run, super flexible, and gives you loads of freedom to make it your own – just like Caoimhe and Hayden did.
