How We Met!

Engagement Shoot

I met Gemma & Jamie, at a wedding fair I did at Wynyard Hall and on this particular day I decided to do a pre-wedding shoot competition and I think you can now guess who won it. Long story short they won, we had an amazing time climbing Roseberry Topping and were blessed with a beautiful sky and light and the list goes on... we went on to local stables where Gemma had her horses and captured some lovely photos of the 3 of them too. 

Wedding Day

I started earlier than planned because I always worry about traffic and it was a good job too as there was bad traffic due to an accident and I was lucky enough to just miss the big delay but if I set off any later it might have been a different story. 

The day went so smoothly from start to finish there was concern with the weather as we had a storm forecast but not a drop of rain it was just perfect in every way. There was laughter throughout and some great expressions to go with from the start to the finish but the speeches were when most of them came out.

Q: WHERE ARE YOU BASED, AND WOULD YOU BE ABLE TO BE OUR PHOTOGRAPHER OUR WEDDING IS...

Firstly Let me say, I Travel Everywhere!

I live in Stockton-on-Tess, in the North East of England, if you haven't heard of my little town it's near, Middlesbrough, Thirsk, not too far from me we have Newcastle slightly north of me and York slightly south. However, I travel the whole of the UK and further, so yes I can be your wedding photographer at...

Q: DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE?

Yes, I have business insurance which includes public liability.

Q: WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU HAVE/USE?

I have just about 2 of everything just in case, A Canon R6 Mii, Canon 5D IV (DSLR, full-frame sensor x3), off-camera flashes x3, and an endless amount of batteries to keep me going a full day, light stands and the list does go on but those are the most important ones.

Q: HOW MANY PHOTOS CAN I EXPECT?

This, depends on a few factors, first of all, how many hours you would like me to cover for your wedding and also how many guests and details do you have? For 6-hour coverage, you can expect 300-600 photos, for 7-hour coverage 400-700 and for 10 hours 600-1000

Q: WHEN AND HOW DO WE BOOK?

As soon as you have the date for your wedding to avoid losing out to someone else, you should think about booking me sooner rather than later, to make sure your date is available. Once you pay your deposit (£300) the date is yours. I sometimes get booked up to 2 years in advance. Your deposit also secures the current prices which may increase later.

Q: CAN WE MEET UP BEFORE WE BOOK?

I always like to meet all couples, I think it's important too. Where? I have a lovely little office attached to a cool little Restaurant Bar, so coffee and treats are on me. If you prefer a Video call that's okay too!

Q: IS IT JUST YOU?

Yes, but if you would like another photographer too I work closely with other professional wedding photographers that would be happy to do this, this can be arranged as an additional option.

Q: DO WE NEED/GET A CONTRACT?

Yes this is very important for both you and I, this is to reassure you exactly what you can expect from me and as all weddings are different they need to be made specifically for you.

Q: HOW LONG TILL WE HAVE OUR PHOTOGRAPHS?

You will receive a sneak peek within 72 hours of your wedding day. All photos are ready between 3-5 weeks (out of peek wedding season) after your wedding you will receive a link to your password-protected online wedding gallery. It can take 4-8 weeks during the busy season. I do offer an express service which means your images will be ready within 5 days of your wedding (subject to availability) see my wedding packages for more details.
