New Years Eve Wedding

Searching For A Wedding Photographer

Most of my wedding couples come through recommendations like Mark & Sarah. On this occasion, it was particularly lovely to hear it was a very good friend of Sarah's, who works in the wedding industry(Rockcliffe Hall to be precise) and she had seen my work and that was enough for her to recommend me (thank you, Ruth) 

I love to meet all wedding couples, I think this is very important for us all, so that's exactly what we did. Unfortunately, Mark couldn't make it so it was me, Sarah and her lovely mum. We looked through wedding albums and got chatting about all the plans and visions Sarah had for the day, and talking like this, always builds excitement in me too! Sarah hadn't booked me at this point, it was later that same day I received an email saying " I’d love to have you photograph my wedding".

The Wedding Day

It was New Year's Eve, Mark & Sarah's Wedding Day and still no signs of snow it was a lovely bright and warm day for December. We got to the church in good time. I forgot to say I also had a second photographer accompany me on the day, my good friend Paul who is also a wedding photographer. We have worked for each other several times. The day started at St Joseph’s Church in Sunderland which is a beautiful church, and even more so with its Christmas decorations.

South Causey Inn

I was over the moon to see the venue in all its glory with Christmas decorations. I always love coming here, the staff are so helpful and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble.

The day was full of fun and laughter which means lots of great shots and full of love of course! 

It is always important to me to make sure all wedding couples have a great day, and I can tell you right now Mark & Sarah or the now Mr & Mrs Robinson, certainly did.

Speeches

The room is always beautiful, but with the Christmas decorations, it was even more special and made for a perfect backdrop for the speeches. I got to say all 3 speeches were on point. We had it all, head in hands, cheering, that belly laughter, red faces, great story from childhood to...

I love coming back to South Causey Inn it is a beautiful wedding venue all year round, and the staff are always polite and helpful, what more could you ask for, thank you team, South Causey!
